Frequently asked questions

Clear answers about grocery delivery, substitutions, property access, timing, special areas, meals, chefs, billing, alcohol, and changes.

Where does Mountains of Groceries deliver?

We offer services throughout Jackson Hole and Teton County, Wyoming, and regionally in Teton Valley and Island Park, Idaho, plus Lincoln and Sublette Counties, Wyoming.

Special delivery areas, unusual requests, and routes beyond 30 round-trip miles may require approval and additional delivery or mileage charges.

Will my groceries be stocked before arrival?

Pre-arrival stocking is the goal whenever the property permits access. The team maintains relationships with area resorts, lodges, and property managers to coordinate entry.

Weather, housekeeping, inspections, access restrictions, inventory, and peak-season demand may affect timing.

Where will you put the groceries?

Products are delivered to the countertops, refrigerator, freezer, and bar as appropriate.

What if an item is unavailable?

The team does everything possible to find the requested product. When it is unavailable, the shopper follows your substitution preference and selects a suitable alternative when substitutions are allowed.

Can I request products not shown online?

Yes. Add a custom item with the brand, size, flavor, quantity, dietary details, and other identifying information.

How much notice is required?

Orders submitted less than 24 hours in advance are not guaranteed. Same-day service may include a $100 fee, and next-day service may include a $40 fee.

Prepared meals require at least 48 hours’ notice, or a $55 short-notice fee may apply.

What does grocery delivery cost?

Standard Jackson Hole pricing is $45 per delivery plus a 30% shopping-service fee based on the food bill and ARVL’s 7.5% secure order-processing fee.

Applicable sales tax and approved rush, special-area, or mileage charges are additional. The exact sales-tax rate remains pending confirmation and is not estimated on this development site.

How does final billing work?

A temporary $20 authorization verifies the payment method and reserves the order. Final billing reflects the groceries actually purchased and applicable service charges.

Can you deliver alcohol?

Alcohol requests remain subject to inventory and all legal age, identification, payment, receipt, and delivery requirements.

Mountains of Groceries reserves the right to request a copy of a driver’s license as proof of age.

How do private chefs work?

The team finds an available chef, develops a proposed menu, and provides a bid without a search fee or obligation.

The chef is generally paid directly by cash or check after the meal, although some events require a deposit.

What prepared-meal cancellation rules apply?

Cancel at least 10 days before service with no cancellation charge. Cancellations 5–10 days before delivery require 25% of the prepared-meal amount. Cancellations within five days require 100%.

Can I submit a handwritten or telephone grocery list?

No. Grocery orders must be submitted through the online store so quantities, substitutions, notes, lodging details, and billing information are recorded accurately.
